TheraNatal One is an essential prenatal, delivering the most important nutrients for you and your baby during pregnancy in one easy-to-swallow softgel:

75 mcg (3,000 IU) of vitamin D3 to maintain healthy vitamin D levels during pregnancy

220 mcg of iodine to prevent iodine deficiency in pregnant and non-breastfeeding women

27 mg of iron to prevent iron deficiency anemia and associated tiredness and fatigue

300 mg of DHA

Yes. While TheraNatal One is formulated to meet your needs during pregnancy, the nutrient doses in this prenatal are safe to take while you’re trying to conceive, too.

TheraNatal One contains 300 mg of DHA from AlaskOmega®, a highly purified omega-3 fish oil concentrate that’s sustainably sourced from wild-caught Alaska pollock from the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska.

Every batch of fish oil in TheraNatal One is also tested and certified by the International Fish Oil Standards (IFOS) program to ensure it’s free from harmful contaminants, including mercury, lead, and PCBs. It has continually received the highest rating of five stars from IFOS, which reflects its exceptional quality, purity, and safety.

TheraNatal One does not contain shellfish.

If you have reacted to radiocontrast material or antiseptics that contain iodine, you may still be able to safely take TheraNatal One, even though it contains iodine. These reactions are commonly confused with a sensitivity to iodine or shellfish, though studies have shown that they are not related.

TheraNatal One contains omega-3 fish oil derived from wild-caught Alaska pollock. If you are allergic to fish, TheraNatal One may not be safe for you. Consult your allergist and/or healthcare team.

Yes. Certain supplements can be taken along with TheraNatal One. However, we do not recommend taking another multivitamin or prenatal with TheraNatal One. Talk with your healthcare provider to find out if your other supplements can be taken with TheraNatal Core.

The list below includes some of the more common potential interactions. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list or take the place of advice from your healthcare provider. As with any dietary supplement, discuss with your pharmacist and/or healthcare team to determine whether TheraNatal One can be taken with your medications.

Antibiotics:  Taking iron (in TheraNatal One) with antibiotics can decrease their absorption and effectiveness. Depending on which antibiotic is prescribed, you may need to separate TheraNatal One from the antibiotic, as indicated below.

Tetracycline antibiotics (doxycycline, minocycline, demeclocycline):Separate by 4 hours.

Quinolone antibiotics (ciprofloxacin (Cipro), gemifloxacin (Factive), levofloxacin (Levaquin), moxifloxacin (Avelox)):Separate by 2 hours.

Levodopa, Carbidopa: Taking iron (in TheraNatal One) might decrease the absorption of these medications. Take at separate times of the day.

Oral Bisphosphonates (i.e., alendronate (Fosamax), etidronate (Didronel), risedronate (Actonel), ibandronate (Boniva), tiludronate (Skelid)): Iron (in TheraNatal One) can decrease the absorption of these medications. Separate by at least 2 hours.

Penicillamine (Cuprimine, Depen): Iron (in TheraNatal One) may decrease the absorption of this medication. Separate by 2 hours.

Thyroid hormone (levothyroxine, Synthroid): Minerals in TheraNatal One can decrease how much of the medication is absorbed. Separate TheraNatal One and thyroid hormone by at least 4 hours.

Medications for overactive thyroid (methimazole, propylthiouracil): Iodine (in TheraNatal One) might change the effects of these medications. Consult with your healthcare provider if you’re taking medication for an overactive thyroid along with TheraNatal One.
